About the BBC micro:bit

Modern life is full of sensors. Wherever you are, at home or travelling, you are surrounded by sensors monitoring all sorts human activities. Sensors lurk in many everyday devices and gadgets such as mobile phones, washing machines, cameras, motor cars and so on; the list is endless. Learning to program the BBC micro:bit is an ideal way of understanding how sensors and computer chips are used to control so many aspects of our daily lives.

The BBC micro:bit not only contains several built-in sensors of its own, it also allows you to connect more sensors of your choice. When you want to control external devices such as mini-motors, audio equipment, buzzers or even more LEDs, you can connect those also.  Do all these things to make games, music and your own gadgets.
